Fabric Content Information
ECOVERO
- Definition: ECOVERO is an eco-friendly branded viscose (rayon) fiber derived from sustainable forests, produced with up to 50% less water and energy compared to conventional viscose.
- Characteristics: It has a soft, draped, breathable, and biodegradable structure; typically used in blouses, dresses, and lightweight apparel.
- Care Instructions: To prevent shrinkage, a delicate wash cycle at a maximum of 30°C should be preferred, bleach should not be used, and it should be air-dried.
RECYCLE
- Definition: Sustainable textile materials produced by reprocessing fibers obtained from waste (plastic bottles, waste cotton, etc.).
- Content: Typically contains Recycled Polyester (rPET) or Recycled Cotton (rCotton).
- Care Instructions: Although washing instructions vary depending on the fiber type, to conserve resources, it is recommended to always wash at a low temperature and avoid using a tumble dryer.
TENCEL™ (Lyocell)
- Definition: A brand of cellulosic fiber produced from wood pulp (typically eucalyptus) in sustainable forests, using environmentally friendly closed-loop systems.
- Features: Offers silky softness, high drape, exceptional moisture management (wicks moisture away better than cotton), and natural breathability.
- Care Instructions: To maintain the fabric's softness and shape, wash in cold water on a delicate cycle and tumble dry on low heat or air dry by hanging.
Cotton
- Definition: The most widely used natural fiber type worldwide, obtained from the boll of the cotton plant.
- Properties: Soft, strong, highly moisture-absorbent, and breathable; it keeps you cool in summer and warm in winter.
- Care Recommendation: High temperature (80-90°C) washing is suitable for whites, up to 40-60°C for colored items; however, washing at low/medium temperatures is generally recommended to prevent shrinkage.
Linen
- Definition: One of the oldest and most durable natural fiber types, obtained from the stems of the flax plant.
- Features: Stronger than cotton, extremely durable, and breathable. Preferred especially in summer due to its cooling effect. Has high moisture absorption.
- Disadvantages: Due to its natural structure, it wrinkles easily and may shrink slightly after the first wash.
- Care Recommendation: To minimize shrinking and wrinkling, wash in cold or lukewarm water (max 30-40°C), on a delicate cycle. Avoid tumble dryers and fabric softeners; hanging to dry and ironing when slightly damp is best.
MODAL
- Definition: A cellulosic (rayon) fiber produced from beech tree pulp, completely naturally sourced and biodegradable; similar to Lyocell/Tencel.
- Properties: Softer and smoother than cotton, with excellent drape. It holds colors well and is fade-resistant even after washing.
- Usage: Often used in underwear, pajamas, sportswear, and home textiles (sheets, etc.) due to its light and silky feel.
- Care Recommendation: To maintain the fabric's softness, it should be washed in cold/lukewarm water (max 30-40°C), on a delicate cycle. To prevent shrinkage, avoid tumble drying and iron at a low temperature.
RAYON (Viscose)
- Definition: It belongs to the cellulosic fiber group; it is a naturally derived fiber type, produced from wood pulp but artificially created through chemical processes.
- Properties: It offers a softness and sheen similar to silk. It has excellent drape, is breathable and comfortable, and absorbs moisture easily like cotton.
- Disadvantages: Its durability decreases when wet and it can easily shrink; therefore, it requires careful maintenance.
- Care Recommendation: To prevent shrinking and loss of shape, hand washing or a delicate program in cold water (max 30°C) should be preferred. Tumble drying should be avoided, and it should be ironed at a low temperature.
